ERP software compared

Oracle NetSuite, MYOB Acumatica, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo and Fivedock ERP — what each costs in Australia, what's included, and where each falls short. Prices checked 10 July 2026.

Disclosure: Fivedock ERP is operated by WWW.DIRECTORY.COM.AU PTY LTD — the same company that operates Directory.com.au. So this page states plainly where it is behind the other four: it has no general ledger, no payroll and no multi-currency, and no implementation-partner network. NetSuite, MYOB Acumatica, Business Central and Odoo are all full accounting systems.

Pricing

Each price is shown exactly as the vendor publishes it, with its own basis — per user or flat, ex or inc GST. Two of these vendors publish no price at all. Consultancies circulate "typical cost" estimates for those; we don't repeat them here, because an estimate from a reseller is not a price from a vendor.

Which one should you choose?

Oracle NetSuiteIf you are scaling past the mid-market, run subsidiaries or multiple currencies, and can fund a partner-led implementation. You will not see a price until you talk to sales.
MYOB AcumaticaIf you are a larger Australian business that wants local payroll and compliance in the same system, with a local partner to implement it.
Business CentralIf you are a Microsoft shop. Just note manufacturing and service need the Premium licence at AU$164.60 per user, and every user needs a seat.
OdooIf you want modular, cheap-per-seat and open source, and you have the appetite to configure it. Cost climbs with every login you add.
Fivedock ERPIf you want the operational modules — manufacturing, jobbing, inventory, POS, service, CRM — for a whole team at one flat price, and you are happy to keep your books in Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.
Do not choose Fivedock ERP if you need one system for both operations and the general ledger, you need payroll or multi-currency, or you need certified implementation partners and formal training. Those are the reasons to pay considerably more for NetSuite, MYOB Acumatica, Business Central or Odoo.

Common questions

What is the cheapest ERP for a small Australian business?
It depends entirely on how many people need a login, because most ERPs charge per user. On published pricing at 10 July 2026, Odoo Standard starts around A$34.40 per user per month and Dynamics 365 Business Central Essentials is AU$119.70 per user per month (ex GST). Fivedock ERP is A$199 per month flat, GST included, for unlimited users. NetSuite and MYOB Acumatica do not publish prices at all.
When does a flat price beat per-user pricing?
Roughly once you pass two or three logins. Fivedock's A$199/month including GST is about A$181 excluding GST, which is a little over one Business Central Essentials seat (AU$119.70 ex GST) or about five Odoo Standard seats. So a two-person shop may find per-user cheaper; a ten-person workshop almost certainly will not. Compare on the same GST basis before deciding.
Does Fivedock ERP do accounting?
No, and that is deliberate. Fivedock has no general ledger. It runs your operations — manufacturing, jobbing, inventory, POS, service and CRM — and pushes invoices into Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks Online, which remain your book of record. NetSuite, MYOB Acumatica, Business Central and Odoo are all full accounting systems in their own right. If you want one system for both operations and the ledger, Fivedock is the wrong choice.
Can Fivedock ERP run payroll?
No. It has no payroll module and no Single Touch Payroll lodgement. Keep running payroll in your existing accounting or payroll software. MYOB Acumatica includes Australian payroll; on NetSuite, Business Central and Odoo it is a module or a partner add-on.
Does Fivedock ERP support multiple currencies?
No. It is single-currency (Australian dollars). If you buy or sell in more than one currency, choose NetSuite, MYOB Acumatica or Business Central.
Why do NetSuite and MYOB Acumatica not show a price?
Both are sold through a sales and implementation process rather than self-serve signup. Oracle does not publish a NetSuite price list, and MYOB does not publish one for Acumatica — licences and the implementation project are quoted per business. Consultancies publish estimates, but those are not vendor pricing, so we do not reproduce them as fact here.
What is the catch with Fivedock ERP?
Three things, plainly. It has no general ledger, payroll or multi-currency. It is single-currency Australian. And it is a small single vendor with no partner network, no certified consultants and no training ecosystem — where NetSuite, Acumatica, Business Central and Odoo all have one. What you get in return is every operational module, unlimited users, at one published flat price with no implementation project.
Is this comparison independent?
It is honest but not independent: Fivedock ERP is operated by WWW.DIRECTORY.COM.AU PTY LTD, the same company that operates Directory.com.au. We disclose that at the top, and the table marks every feature where Fivedock is behind the other four.

How we compiled this

  • Checked 10 July 2026. ERP pricing moves and is often negotiated. Confirm on the vendor's own page, or with their sales team, before committing.
  • Prices are shown as published, on each vendor's own basis. Microsoft and Odoo publish per-user rates; Fivedock publishes one flat rate including GST. We do not convert between bases.
  • NetSuite and MYOB Acumatica publish no price list. We show "quote only" rather than repeating reseller estimates as if they were vendor pricing.
  • We publish our own product's limits. Fivedock ERP has no general ledger, payroll or multi-currency, and no partner network. Those rows are marked "not included".
  • No ratings or review scores are shown, because we have not run a methodologically sound survey. We would rather show nothing than invent a score.
